Directional Drilling
Directional drilling is a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative to open trenching. Using a surface-mounted drill that requires only minimal excavation, a guided pilot hole is tracked throughout the process, allowing the operator to adjust direction as needed to safely avoid existing utilities such as water, gas, electrical, and communication infrastructure.
Reduced Enviromental Impact
Open trenching, even once filled, often sinks causing an uneven surface. Drilling leaves no evidence on the surface.
Convenience
Unlike open trenching, drilling minimises disruption to the public as there is often no need to close roads if drilling below the road surface.
Less Constraints
Work is not limited by depth constraints imposed when open trenching. Significant sites or assets can be bypassed meaning we can work on culturally significant areas, creek beds and endangered / protected trees.

HDD Drilling is a VEDN accredited Civil Contractor, accredited (Registration No. CW102) to complete excavations, trenching, installation of conduits and ducts, boring, cable hauling and the installation of earthing systems.
